Ontario, like much of California, is experiencing a housing crisis. The lack of affordable housing options has pushed many of our residents to leave their communities, while many who stay struggle living paycheck to paycheck. This housing crisis is especially dire for vulnerable senior citizens and our future generations. I believe all of our residents deserve to live and thrive in their communities, and I will prioritize affordable and accessible housing as a right for all. By bringing all stakeholders to the table homeowners, renters, and county officials—we can work together to solve our housing crisis and build a flourishing Ontario.
As your Councilmember I will:
- Advocate for tenant rights and a rent control policy to protect tenants and prevent against homelessness.
- Work with developers to build more housing in our city, and set aside a significant amount of units for low to moderate-income housing
